Forum Golf Society

As there appear to be a number of regular golfers on the forum I wonder if there is scope for the occaisional get together and game. ( nothing too serious or expensive ).

I can remember reading of a " mungo,s " golf society but that now apears to be defunct.

Any thoughts or ideas :?:

I'm up for it !

Happy to play anywhere and would appreciate the chance to make some new friends in Carvoeiro. Probably need a few weeks notice to make sure I'm in Portugal, off peak season favourite eg. not June, July August.

I would be up for it too. A list of golfers with H/C and when they are looking for a game would be useful.
I wil be out w/c 22nd Feb. 19 H/C and looking to play. Pestana courses suit me best.
Chas.

I play of a very flattering 16 and liz 25.

Once we get a few more names can I suggest that we PM each other with dates etc and see if we can get something organised.

Mungo's is still alive and kicking, I provide a link to their yet unfinished website, it does at least provide some contact info should anyone what to either join or go as a guest. Happy Golfing 8)

Aaron, of Angel Bar, Antique, and now at Safari Bar organised a monthly golf day for locals and visitors. I think he is still doing it.

I'll go if there's transport on the course, I haven't got a handicap apart from Diabetes but I like to play, and can play well enough not to be an embarrassment. :D

I normally come out to CVO in November and January with a friend to play golf - handicap 20. Would be interested to join others. Have played all courses between Salgados and Boavista, apart from the Faldo and O'Connor. For some reason can't play as well on the Algarve as I sometimes do on UK courses.

Hi, This golf society for holidaymakers is a great idea, I am out from 2nd-16th September with a few golfers of varying handicaps, I play off 18, perhaps someone can put a list of players on the website somewhere so we can contact players either before they come out or while they are there, as I say a great idea.

We should also be out around then and at other times this summer.
Maybe Mr Crane could devise something for us similar his list of who is visting CVO and when.
