Be aware the GNR are very active at the moment , we were stopped twice yesterday, on the way out of silves and on the way back into the village, friends staying with us were also stopped on christmas eve.
Checking all paperwork .
They were pulling up 3-4 cars at a time in both directions. ( stick to shandy ).

There was a funny moment when they were checking us a dutch reg " crusty wagon " went by and you could see that they would loved to have pulled it over but were too busy with the rest of us

I was stopped last week in Lagoa on way to Pao de Açucar, after checking all documents etc etc I was asked to take a breath test ~first time in my life ~drivers of all the cars stopped at that time were breathalised ( my reading was 000)
