No UK base I am afraid. The aircraft, and I assume the flight crews, are relocating elsewhere in europe as the operations from these bases are obviously more profitable. But who is going to plug the hole? The EMA slots to Faro must be up for grabs and very profitable judging by the number of bums on seats at any time of the year.

BMi Baby are expanding their flights to Faro with pretty well the same coverage as Easyjet BUT at a much higher price. Jet2com are using EMA but no flights to Faro.

So they are! Great as Doncaster is, traffic wise, better for us although not too much difference in distance. The prices look good so will be booking some flights asap I think.

What bothers me is the statement made by Ej ceo on BBC breakfast a few weeks ago. He stated that they were re-locating the East Midlands based aircraft into continental europe. So where is the aircraft coming from for the Doncaster service? Given the popularity of the Faro service from EMA this seems a bit odd.
