I have a booking with Zitauto made 24 August. I have tried twice to contact them via email to confirm the booking (28 days away) in the last couple of days and have yet to receive a reply. Do any members know of any problems with Zitauto? I have logged onto their web site and it all seems fine - but is it?

I don't know of any problem with them. I'm picking one up from them on Monday (I hope!)
In the past I've sometimes waited several days for a reply to an e-mail.

They don't take money up front and ask for 'cash' upon collection on their web site. Is this cash in euros or can it be in sterling?

I've been using them for several years, and always paid in euros. I would be surprised if they would accept sterling.

I've used them for over 10 years - excellent . They may take a short while to reply to e-mails out of high season but they will - don't worry. As for payment I pay cash in Euros never Sterling. As a last resort they will accept a credit card (although it takes longer because they haven't got a machine) but they won't accept Multibanco.

Have used Zitauto in the past, just recently they have been a touch exspensive how ever they were always a little slow in replying to e-mails.

I have never used Zitauto but it seems very strange to me that, in this day and age, they only accept cash. How can you prove that you have paid them in the event of a dispute or insurance claim?

You get a receipt.
