As we move into the " golf season " are there any signs that the courses are responding to the reduction in numbers to reduce
their rates and offer deals ?

We take full advantage of the summer rates but playing in the Algarve in winter other than in Dec/early January is just not value for money.

€68 per round twilight rate including buggy at Amondeiro - Faldo/O'Connor.

€68 per round day time rate exc buggy (€40 extra) at Pinta /Gramacho.

Even at €1.50 to the £ it would be expensive!

Agreed - and strangely enough I managed to book the tee times I wanted for next week at Gramacho - I think they all need to have a re-think before they price themselves into emptiness
