Alisuper supermarket gone bust!

Went into the Alisuper in Sesmarias yesterday and they had no fresh food. The manageress tells me the company is in receivership and she is redundant. Very sad as many of us rely on the local shops for essentials.

Is n,t Alisuper a franchise a bit like Spa, they are privately owned but use the central prurchasing and supply systems.
This branch is ,nt the only one to have had problems this year, we have noticed others with less and less on the shelves .

On the cards this one!
We stay up at Monte CVO and when we arrived at beginning of Sept for our 11 night stay, it was the first place we went to that morning to buy some 'essentials' and the shelves were half empty and three of the freezers were turned off. The Deli counter was shut and you could see it was 'curtains'! Later that week one of the staff told me the co. was going bust, so it seems they weren't being kept in the dark - they knew the co. was in trouble.

The whole Alicoop/Alisuper operation has gone bust. Banks own the lot basically. Trying to find buyers for the wholly owned retail operation
