Isn't it to do with the water quality?
I wonder if the road works etc have anything to do with it.

The smell coming up through the drains on some nights should give you a good idea ?

Heads should roll!!!!!

How can a town - almost exclusively dependent upon tourism - allow this to happen?

What sort of message does it give to the would be visitors reviewing which town/ country to visit?

"Very annoyed" from Bristol - We've already got a Sh..ty beach at Weson Super Mare that's why we come to Carvoeiro!

Have to agree Widge. We've been coming to Carvoeiro for 8 years now. Luckily for me, though, i never go in the sea anyway. Too bl##dy cold in Portugal!

I'm a bit of a fussy so and so and don't trust water where other humans are bathing, let alone open pipes going into the sea.

Still won't stop us coming to Carvoeiro, but i can see your point about people being put off.

Putting things into perspective it is ONLY the small town beach we are talking about.
All the others bigger and better are unchanged.

Sometimes its just plain bad luck and due to what the tidal conditions are and what they may be bringing in from the Atlantic. So it may have nothing to do with what comes out of CVO.
