Hi Guys

Once again I am looking your help. We were in Carvoeiro in May of this year and are returning this Thursday 13th :D Very excited .................

At the the last minute we have a friend joining us and due to the problems of Car Hire, we are not able to alter our booking or change cars ................ therefore, we need to find a way to get our friend to us from the Airport !!

We have found a website that does transfers on a mini bus and takes around an hour - or we had thought of using the local buses but we are not sure if they run from the Airport or to where ? we would assume that it would go to Lagos .......... or Taxi, but this does seem rather an expensive option.

Anyway, is there anyone out there who can give us a clue as the best way to do this.

Regards

See you Soon

Helen x

We use EasyGo holidays; they're based halfway up Restaurant hill. We have booked a return transfer from Faro to Carvoeiro and back in September. I'm not sure what the price will be for a one-way from airport to Carvoeiro (about 55 euros i would think). It's a direct transfer as well; about 45 mins.

£8.80 each way for a shuttle bus or £57.20 for a private taxi

We used 'Resorthoppa' - excellent service - for two of us it was £25.27 for the journey from Carvoeiro to the airport . Only thing is they only pick up at hotels.

This time last week when I couldn't find a car to hire, I looked at the train service and that was my fall back position. It goes from Faro to Silves and Estombar (plus other places)- It looked like quite a good service (and cheap) but I'm sure others can advise as in the end I didn't need to use it. There is a link from the FAQs to the website and an English version.
