Help can't understand about PM's

I have previously sent PM's but each time I type them now and appear to submit them then check the sent box they are not there. Instead in my outbox it now says I have 5 messages. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

They stay in the Outbox until the recipient reads them.

I have sent you a quick PM to see if you read and receive it and the outbox then changes back to the 5 messages which still remain. LICY
