For the last 10 years my holiday time and money was largely spent in the Carvoeiro Bar enjoying the music and the company of Joke and gang. Now Hans and Joke have retired what's the place like these days?

Very much the same as usual Phil, was there in June a number of times and it's still has the same ambiance.

Agreed. Plus you can now order tidbits of food, which are cooked and delivered from Maximes next door (The new owners)

I was there in May and it was the same as it always was, good place for pre & after dinner beers!

Just back last week. Place has lost a bit since new owners taken over. Just not the same for me.

Talking of Babs - is she still at the Roundup?

We were in there on Sunday, no atmosphere and awful music. The new manager stood in the corner of the bar most of the time smoking and never said a word to us.
It's such a shame because this used to be one of the best places to drink, listen to great music and have a good laugh with Joke and Jennifer.
