Keep your fingers crossed, on this mornings financial news talk was of the Euro falling from 88p to as low a 75p.

Feeling almost lightheaded at the thought.

I am feeling depressed as it is after last nights result - this is just taking me down even further. What with being made redundant last month i don't think i can take much more doom and gloom. Roll on 4th September and i am back in my favourite holiday haunt!!

Problem is that the best quote I can find online for free next day delivery is 1.1103 a bit different to the 1.148 being quoted on my home page.......

1-1103 is the best tourist rate today LJ - you never get the business rate and anyway that has dropped a bit now so I would take that if you are flying soon

The Fairfx card top up rate was 1.14 a few minutes ago. Card still available free through the Matalan site.

I have been using the Fairfx cards (Euro and USD) for quite a while now and find that they consistently offer the best exchange rates around, the rate is slightly less if ordering cash and is free delivery for orders over GBP 500.00

Agreed Sam - the other bonus of the FairFX is that since it is prepaid if it is nicked (or borrowed by the missus!) then you can only lose what you had on it - sneaky, but really handy for car hire deposits since they cannot then just take whatever they feel if they think there has been some damage

M and S were offering an exchange rate of 1.10 this morning, the best it has been for a long
time. We tend to use our Saga card and get a very good rate with that.

Got 1.12 with the Post Office online yesterday. Today travelex online, ICE online were 1.11

We were in CVO earlier this month. Withdrew all our cash from cashtills in the village as we neded it using Nationwide card. On our bank statement the exchange we got ranged from 1.11-1.14 depending on the day.
