Can I put in a request please?
Does anyone have a photo of a traffic cop of the time I lived in Lagoa, around 1992?
Id really like one to print with my next story on the "Corner".
I thought possibly a forum member whos lived there since that time or before may have one somewhere--maybe in an old newspaper or magazine?
If you do have, it would be a big favour if you could send it to me on
kingsland22@aol.com
and Ill buy you a large port next time Im in CVO!
Obrigada :)

This isnt only a request for a photo--its also to settle an argument!
Son thinks they wore the grey army-style hat --H reckons it was on with green band-but thats what they wear today --and I was sure it was different then!
Anyway--if there isnt one available--does anyone have a photo of "todays" traffic cop that I could use please?
Be very grateful for any help or asuggestion where I could get one--Ive tried online but no luck so far.
Thank-you :)

Hard job getting picture of a current 'traffic cop'. Most of them are waiting to go to court on corruption charges

Driver--couldnt you take a snap of one of them for me(if you live there!) either going in --or even coming out of the court--Im not fussy either way :)
Thanks for that Pinkie --difficult thinking back to what is about 11 years now---the memory gets a bit blurred!
My story also has little incident of my recent holiday---with a policewoman--think Im right in remembering she wore blueygrey trousers tucked into short black boots and lighter colour shirt, colour hat escapes me but with green band--she was walking in Lagoa with male policeofficer--so not traffic cop--am I right with this uniform please?
Thanks for your help-its much appreciated--Ellie :)

The traffic cops, of course, wear a red armband (or is it some kind of a badge?) with a “T” on it, meaning “cop do Transito” or maybe “cop do Trafico”.

Did you see those pix I sent you Ellie?

Do you mind you 2--First Pammie--then Tricky---youre seriously distracting me from me work--there was I --banging away on me keyboard (whilst learning 2 oriental languages--No not really--just trying to get some Portuguese into me noddle)
Tricky --I never said a word about Portuguese firemen--Im completely inncocent ---I never touched them-----
My storys about the cops--how they were then--very friendly --all white teeth and black moustache --and how they are now----black moustache ---swinging their nightsticks--and Im not sure if they have any teeth now--cos no smiles, just "Your papers please and"You cant park there!"
But youll just love Diggers pix--I promise :)
