just been to brazil for first time, many places are like armacao de pera, high rise rich living on top but at street level its children sleeping on streets...very sad to see...loads of folk seem to live by selling knick knacks on street....also amazing I could only find one place to buy a cup of coffee in!! no coffee shops no bars anywhere!!
Best place went to was rio..very nice and our local pao acucar supermarket gets its name from the famous mountain that overlooks rio
However I noticed that within this great city of rio is a place not unknown to many of us yes its called lagoa
info is as follows from internet.
Do you not think these two famous rich places should be twinned???
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lagoa (Lagoon, in English) is an affluent residential neighbourhood located around the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. It borders the neighbourhoods of Ipanema, Leblon, Copacabana, Gávea and Jardim Botânico and Humaitá
