On Centiennes beach at the weekend and a group of dolphins (not sure proper name - pod?) came within about 100 metres of beach. Especially good when one jumped out of the sea to have its photo taken!

Is this a regular occurrence? The reason I ask is that although lovely sunbathing weather of approx 26C, loads of people seemed to have binoculars with them.

When we were out there 11-19th October a Dolphin came quite far into the main Carvoeiro beach... I wasn't there but my dad saw it - I wasn't aware they came that close.

Hi We went to visit a friend over in Quartiera last week Monday, and were sat having a coffee with him at one of the beach bars and we saw a very large pod of Dolphins very close to the coast. It was absolutely magical, they were all jumping and swimming around, if I didnt know better, I would say they were enjoying all the attention they were getting from the beach and were definitely playing to the crowd. It was a real crowd puller :D
