I have noticed today the temperature is 23 degrees at 11 a.m.
Is this correct or is the temperature reading generally inaccurate?

I think that sometimes the sensor is not fully in the shade.

Most temperatures you see advertised, are in the shade temperatures. Usually, especially in the sun, outside temperatures can be several degrees higher.

The fact that these figures are shade figures kinda makes it all the more unreal.
Did it feel like around 75 degrees at 10.30 this morning?
It showed 23 c which is about what 72 degrees? Add a bit more for outside temps and you are looking at around 75 degrees.
Great stuff if it's real.

It's real, and yesterday we recorded 26C in CVO and 28C in Lagoa. (Always seems to warm up 2 - 3 degrees as you move away from the coast.)

The figures on the web cam are taken from the weather station at Faro airport and not influenced by the sun. It's not uncommon for Carvoeiro to be 2-3 degrees above the readings.

The last few days we've experienced everything from clear blue skies to almost blackout, thunder & lightening & that can all happen in just one afternoon. Getting to the stage where we don't know what to put on our feet - flipflops, open toed wellies or flippers!
