Hi, just wondering if anyone can help please, we are comming out to CVO mid Oct, 2 of the family are planning on playing some golf whilst we are there. We are staying close to Vale De Milho so they plan to play there a few times but they also want to play a 'proper' 18 hole course, can anyone give some advise please, they do play golf regularly at home but just haven't got round to obtaining an handicap and most golf clubs we have looked at aroung CVO seem to require a handicap. (Gramancho, Pinta, Silves, etc) another thing is some of the green fees are quite alot 92.50 euros, is it advisable booking before we leave to get cheaper fees.
Many Thanks

Hi Bevvy - I wouldn't worry about a handicap certificate - If they look like golfers (i.e. proper shirts and shoes) then it is VERY unlikely that they will be asked for anything (other than the money!).

I am afraid that golf is expensive - Mid October is peak season so I would try to get tee times booked as soon as possible - there are a few online agencies that will be able to get it cheaper for you which you should easily be able to find with google.

Hi Bevvy

My Boyfriend plays golf a bit but doesn't have a handicap, and the only course I have ever played on is Vale de milho. We certainly didn't have or need handicaps....it can be quite expensive, especially with the club hire, but the "twilight golf" is the best price I think. Enjoy

Hi

I am writing this from the Reception desk at Vale de Milho, where I work. It is a lovely little par 3 course, 9 holes usually 24 Euros, and the twilight deal - (25 Euros for as much Golf as you can play from 4.30pm (Sept) then from 3pm from 1st October) is pretty good, but they also do a couple of other deals
9 holes with Full English Breakfast after for 26 Euros (between 8 and 10am excluding Tues & Fri -members only)
Lunch and 9 holes for 26 Euros between 12 - 3 pm
Pick up and drop off in Carvoeiro area, Monday to Friday and 9 holes
21 Euros (24 hours notice required)
Plus, you might get to talk to me - if I´m here!
Hope this helps :)

If you join Golf for Greys, you can usually obtain 30% + discount from nearly all the courses on the Algarve.
