Poor thing - hope that you have look finding her a home - she will be so grateful. How can anyone let an animal get in such a state?? - it is beyond me!!
I realise there are stray dogs and cats in and around Carvoeiro area and this upsets me greatly. A couple of weeks ago there was a cat being fed and watered near the chemist shop on the out road - such a shame.
Our three cats just do not know how lucky they are.

I truly hope someone will come and give her the home she really deserves,, please please someone out there HELP. We live in Dorset so we cannot help, we have asked a few of our friends out in CVO but they already have strays they are looking after.
John, we to noticed quite a few shops feeding and looking after pusscats. Where we stay at O Castello he feeds and waters 2 strays every day and they live in the gap opposite the building. Along the main in road there is a box and toys for a stray cat outside a clothes shop. So sad to see but at the same time, glad to see that someone cares

Is there no-one that can offer this adorable doggy a home? If I were there I'd have her like a shot!
If you are interested you can also PM me as well as LJ...
Thanks in anticipation

Thanks Sharen for bumping this one for me.
We have had a couple of people say they might be able to help and they will come back to me next week but still this lovely dog hasn't had a permanent home offered to her yet, so please if you can open your hearts and help her I am sure she will respond by giving you lots of love back.
Please ask your friends who can ask friends, I know there are so many dogs looking for homes but this one really should have a loving home.
Thanks

The following is an update on Daisy
"We took her to the vets today and she has had blood tests for Leishmania and a few injections, She has been out on the lead a few times but doesn't want to go very far and is a little nervous around cars. Apart from that she is doing well and seems a lot happier.
We get the results of the blood tests in a few days."
Once the results are in I'll post on here!

I hope Daisy's ok & does find a home soon. I would have been interested but 4 weeks ago we rescued a little dog that wandered into a friends garden, she was infested with fleas & ticks the size of olives yuk!! I took her to the vet where she was tested & scanned, she is only about 9 months old & the results showed she has tick disease, early stages of heartworm & was carrying at least 4 stowaways! Anyway we cleaned her up, very unpleasant but she was so good & patient with us, fed her constantly, gave her lots of love which she has rewarded with giving lots back & last week she presented us with 4 beautiful healthy pups. I know we have a tough job ahead of us finding home for these 4 now, but we have at least given her a loving home & hopefully we will be able to find good people willing to do the same for her puppies.
Someone please give Daisy a loving home in return you get so much love & loyalty.

Blue that was so kind of you, and to end up with 4 more little ones as well, I take my hat off to you. Hope you find homes for them all.
We also are hoping someone as kind as you will do the same for Daisy.

We've recently adopted a lovely little stray called Maisie, who was found abandoned near Pêra - bringing our total to 3 dogs and 8 cats, but good luck with Daisy, hope someone can give her a good home

If our circumstances were different at the moment we would be very interested in helping Daisy, but my husband is being admitted to hospital soon in Porto, and our dogs and cats will be in kennels
Surely someone will give this lovely dog the chance of a good life and some pampering. Good Luck Daisy
