Wondered if anyone could tell me if it is too far to walk into Carvoeiro town from Sesmaris

Yes it is really - especially with children or older people

Thanks Maddi thought it would be we only went there in the car last year and it never seems as far when you are driving
Do you have any idea of the cost of a taxi in to town ?

Someone else will have to answer that - we stay in town these days. Last time we rented a villa in Sesmarias was 1990 - obviously I was a mere child at the time

We have stayed in Sesmarias for a number of years.

Last year it was costing approx 5 or 6 Euro

we walk down the town about 3 or 4 times in a fortnight. Usually for dinner when its a little cooler. Its about 45 minutes & we are certainly no athletes, a nice gentle stroll. We walk though Quinta Do Paraiso which takes out the big hill at Carvoeiro Clube.

You get some great pictures & it means I can have a drink or 5 when i'm down the town rather than driving.

Taxis are really good, clean and friendly. They are not expensive, and I find that they will sometimes be quite willing to negotiate a rate, especially if you are going to use them on a regular basis. Best price I got from Sesmarias to CVO square was 2.50
