Who own's Bedrock, I've visited their restaurant 12-15 years ago, not to eat but to play pool with one of the managers, Rui I think his name was. he was Brazilian, I always found it to be a bit ramshackled, I never had the opportunity to view the accomodation, thankfully, one night they had a massive dead rat floating in the pool. Just wondered who owned it and what their standard is now? I pass it most days on my way to the ADM when I'm there. :?

Why should you be concerned as to the ownership of a dead rat?

I think after 12-13 years the standard of the dead rat probably hasn't improved much.

It might be the dirty rat that killed his brother and he is out for revenge?

Great! I'll watch the wording in future and I've made a note of your names for future scrutiny  Now that's over how about a sensible reply? :?

I can't believe it, a place I don't know of and have never heard of

Only place I can think of with a pool table on the way to Areias dos Moinhos is Bubbles bar. Unless it was the Alibi...

B1D, it's the apartments opposite the entrance to Bubbles on Rua dos Moinhos. Sand coloured (or were!)

I think 'Bedrock' is just a nickname because they're so ugly & look like something out of the Flintstones. A lot of them are being refurbed now & from the internal photo's look quite nice & I suppose at least when your inside you don't have to look at the outside.

Took the short cut from ADM to the Almansor which involves going through this area last week. The blocks on the left have been re painted but sadly the ones on the right still look awful and quite a few up for sale. The old pool and bar reception areas are still derelict and just look an absolute mess. Great shame. The Almansor needs an internal re fit as well, looking rather tired except the view from the grotto bar!

"You clean rat, you killed my son". Nah, doesn't have the same ring. :)

Or as the limping dog said. "I'm looking for the man that shot my paw"
