Carvoeiro in March

Just got back from a couple of days in Carvoeiro. The weather was beautiful, warm and sunny, about 22' degrees
Its the first time I've been so early in the season and it was interesting to see all the bars and restaurants tidying themselves up for Easter.
Not everywhere was open but gradually as it came to Tuesday (yesterday) most places were starting too. I liked the new Xico's restaurant look, gone was the tatty black hording and in its place a great terrace making the whole corner of the road look a hundred times better.

Signs were being painted, chairs were being refurbished, new tiles were being laid,. and don't be suprised at the number of new roundabouts that have sprung up. The best one being on the main to road to Porches which was always an accident black spot.

The new open terrace at Canieros - Praia del Rei, wasn't quite finished but I'm really looking forward to that in Summer.

Roll on Easter - Can't wait.

We are arriving at Rocha Brava on Monday 17th March. We have been quite often in March and usually have good weather, better than in Norfolk we had snow yesterday!!! The new terrace at Praia de Rei at Canieros sounds lovely can`t wait to try it.

Thanks for the update Tricky, we will try the new zico's as we have always liked the food there.

The new roundabout at Porches sounds much better, when we were out in Jan there was lots of roadworks and bollards so now we know why!

Glad you had a great time, hope you didn't use all the sun up
