No doubt something has already been said but I can't find an explanation. Can somebody enlighten me what I am missing i.e. what are all the crowds doing in the Square today?

Is it pancake day? I've got swimming training tonight so I'll have to abstain.

Yes, everyone everywhere appears to be having the day off for the yearly Carnaval celebrations. The children from the schools had their parades last Friday (see previous thread) but they are all still celebrating! School is back on Thursday!

No, not all races, there have still been races going on throughout the country. If you are referring to the one in the news today the local school allowed the race on their playing field.

Well, have had enough, have tried and tried till I have run out of pancake mix - theyve either burnt or just gone into a blob!

Don't know what it is about pancakes but I can NEVER get it right my poor daughter is sat here like Oliver but there is no chance of her getting any more ha!
