• The Old Bridge to Portimao

Is the Old Bridge from Ferragudo to Portimao open? I recollect that it is/has been closed for an extended period.

It is closed for extensive repairs, and as far as I'm aware will be at least until the end of this coming summer. It can get quite hectic at rush hour getting in and out of Portimao now especially the cardosas area!

they were planing to get an anfibian bus to help people that live just across the bridge and have to work in Portimao, but by the time they get a permission plan and go trough all the burocracy the bridge will be fixed anyway,
Portugal at is best!

i understand that the "ferry" is supposed to start within the next month and this is to remain in force until it is finished in 2009
