From my webcam picture on the beach it looks as though there is a deep crevise running along down the beach from the cafe. Also looks as though its been attacked where the boats are.
Is this a fault on the web camera or has there been some movement to the beach via human/ vehicular intervention.

Regarding what you can see on the beach ( which i did not have the time to have a look yet), i guess it is to do with the storm we had last week. It rainned so much it simply took all the sand away, as it always does.

Has anybody taken a look at Centeannes beach? When we were there in November the wooden steps were supended a metre above the sand, and there was a definate ridge by the high tide line.

Oh, that second pic down has made me very nostalgic...its where I usually sit, with my back against the wooden pole of the beach hut, with face up to the sun and also looking at the folk performing around me

Assuming that the sand was washed out to sea, lets hope the sea returns it! We heared that it had been stormy, but didn't realize it was that bad. Now wondering what might have happened to my garden?

Great to see the photos as I'd been trying to imagine what it might look like.

Fond memories of staggering onto that beach on the night of my birthday back in March in unsuitable footwear and being told I was mad (at least I didn't try to get back into the wrong room at the CVO Sol as did the person who thought I was mad/drunk etc).

Have been wondering what impact the weather has had on the villa and garden too.

Went down to the beach at Albandeira this week and there is a lot less sand than usual and more rocks exposed.

For anyone familiar with the beach, the smaller beach is probably about 6-8 feet lower than usual near the steps.Previously there was a small section of rock to negotiate at the bottom of the steps before landing on the beach now there is a big drop.

There is water at the back of the beach where before there was sand.

Oh dear, that is my favourite beach as you know. Hope the sea gives it all back again. Will take my camera this month and get some photos.
