Would love to buy a villa in CVO but unless our 6 numbers come up there's little chance of that happening. As an alternative, can any readers advise as to availability of timeshare properties in CVO (e.g. CVO Clube)and can they give us some idea of their 'timeshare experience'.
Any comments / advice would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks.
Regards to all in CVO from a still sunny Wales.

Hi Croeso
Can you do any better than a lottery win or a timeshare, financially?? A little while ago a few of us were discussing going in together on something . . . sharing expenditiure but having a broad swipe at the different weeks in the year, therefore greatly enhancing the "timeshare" experience, e.g. NOT two weeks in April EVERY YEAR!! I am no longer sure how many people are still interested in this but I somehow imagined everyones' input being around £20K but that providing something around 2 months each split into weeks and spread around the year, with a mixture of "types" of people. E.g. ones like us who would like school hols now but within the next five years would be doing everything possible to avoid them! Perhaps a young couple who don't want the school hols now but might want them in a few years time and a retired couple who enjoy spending part of their winter somewhere warmer than the UK. Each of us could swap our unwanted weeks and rent out those that are going to be left unused, to help towards maintainence costs.
Anyway that is a broad outline as to what was being discussed on this site over last winter and it would be interesting to know whether you would be interested and also to see if there is anybody else out there who is still interested despite the time lapse.

p.s. sorry I cannot help with your ACTUAL enquiry
Timeshare - CVO

Hello Croeso,
With regard to your enquiry concerning timeshare I would draw attention to the Monte Carvoeiro resort (advertised on the front page of this web site) or refer directly to
www.algarve-mc.com
The resort is located close to CVO (take the road up the hill past the ice cream parlour) and it is literally only a few minutes walk down into the village from the resort (takes slightly longer on the way back up).
The timeshare accommodation consists of a mix of one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments/townhouses – all are provided with maid service 6 days a week. The resort is highly rated having received the Gold Crown award for the last 6 years from Resorts Condominium International.
The timeshare owners can obviously occupy their own week/weeks each year or they can exchange into over 3,500 other resorts all over the world. Alternatively, subject to availability, owners can internally exchange their weeks in Monte Carvoeiro to different times of the year or if unable to take a holiday the management will rent out the weeks on behalf of the owners.
Monte Carvoeiro is fairly unusual in that the resort is actually owned by the timeshare owners themselves and who are represented by an elected committee of 5 owners – thus the resort is entirely independent and in no way involved with any developer.
The inventory available is now fairly limited but if you are interested then please complete and submit the Enquiry Form on the website:
www.algarve-mc.com – further details can be provided or any questions answered. Anyone visiting Carvoeiro are welcome to call at the resort – they will not be subjected to any high pressure selling – the reception will put them in contact with Mrs Christina Cottis the Owner Relations Manager.

Director and General Manager
