• FESTIVALS IN MARCH

can anyone let me know if there are any festivals in March in Carvoeiro. I was down there a few years ago in February and the whole village seemed to be celebrating something in the square. It was excellent & something that I wouldnt mind experiencing again.

You were probably there when it was 'Carnival'. This starts on the weekend before shrove Tuesday and the actual main carnival is on shrove Tuesday, so it all depends what month it falls on next year as to when it will be, I don't know if it's in March.

Carnival is 5th Feb in 2008.

iF you can get out to CVO then I can recommend Carnival - not quite Rio but all good fun
