Hi a friend of ours would like to go to Collina Village with us in Febuary and March 2004, however she needs to have her blood tested every 2 weeks. She has her doctor's approval if she can have her blood tested every 2 weeks. Can anyone tell us how to go about making these arrangements before we leave Canada in the Algarve and where the clinic or hospital is located? any help would be greatly appreciated. Mommabarb

There is a (German) clinic above Smiler's or the Private Hospital in Alvor. I am sure both places would be able to do the testing.

There is a great medical centre/hospital in Lagoa it is signposted from the funny road junction from Carvoeiro. We had to rush our son who was 18months at the time there and they were brilliant, clean good english and very caring. The Medical centre was spotless you could of eatern your meal off the floor puts our hosiptal to shame. Even the cleaners came into the room to see if we wanted drinks. The info centre on the square told us where to go.
