Just returned from fantastic two weeks in cvo. No clouds seen until sat 25th.
I am thinking of coming out again mid Oct for a long weekend. Does anyone know generally what weather is like that time of year please?

Have been out twice in October with fantastic weather both times. The first time we had a cloudy morning (out of 14 days) and started panicking, but by lunchtime it was sunny and warm again. It was, in fact, warmer weather than we have been having in UK this month. Go for it!

We were over towards the end of last October and it rained a lot

We were unlucky and hopefully this year will be much better.

Funnily enough, Mrs 1969 & I were just reminiscing about the long weekend we spent in October last year.
We got sunburnt having lunch at the lovely restaurant that overlooks Benegil beach and cooled off with a swim in the Atlantic from Albandeira beach.
We then sat on the beach and watched the sun set while downing a litre of vodka & coke between us.
Just fantastic!!
We're taking the 1969kids for half term week this year & can't wait!
Enjoy...

October is one of those months where you just don't know what it will do. It can be really nice and warm and sunny. Or it can rain a lot. There are often a lot of storms in October. It think its just a case of chancing it.

I really hope the weather is kind to you again Ant. We'll be out during the half-term as well.

Yeah, bring it on!!
Must get a proper sunshine fix soon before my skin turns transparent!!
We tried to escape the awful UK summer by taking the 1969ers camping in Brittany, but it was raining there too.

Thanks everyone - flights booked (£100 which I thought was OK). Planning on playing a bit of tennis so as long as it's not pouring should be fine.

You weren't there last October then, unless you have a different half term.
