Hi
Can someone be so kind enough to tell me of any decent place to buy a new sofabed within the striking distance of CVO/Armacao. a place with good selection, good service, and good prices, and a relaible dealer. I know i may be asking for bit too much but hey you never know there might just be such a place. ANY RECOMEDATIONS will be most appreciated.

I would suggest:
Located in Lagoa (CVO side of the main road in the business complex nearly
opposite Shoe Factory)

Moviflor at Portimao shopping centre,
Conforama at Algarve shopping
Both these at the value end of the market,
Brit Sofa and Sofa Vip ( lagoa ) if you want to spend more.

What is the quality of soafa like in these shops? Have you bought any item from here? Do they deliver? Timescale? Service?

I can confirm everything that Jeremy has said about Sofa-VIP service. We bought our sofabed from them in November last year and we are very pleased with it. It is very comfortable both as a sofa and as a bed. Many that we tried before were comfortable as one or the other, but not both. Ours cost 1168 euros, which was discounted from 1947 euros. I'm aware that you could buy cheaper, but I doubt that you could buy better.

Very many thanks to all you nice people, for helping me out. I will pay a visit to all the shops recommended. Does VIPSOFA charge any delivery charges on top of selling price? What are re delivery times like ? Do they accept all credit cards etc, my apartment is on 8th floor in armacao so i am wondering if that would pose a problem for delivery guys? extra charge etc??

Being New to the area and with limited time we bought ours from Conforama ( over half the discounted price of Sofa VIP ).
It has lasted 4 rental seasons without any problems.
Know what you mean about delivery issues, our guys only had to lift it up one flight of stairs, NOT that easy.
Have to say other half will not even look at anywhere else than sofa VIP for our own villa furniture. ( will hide the credit cards )

Thanks TBBR. I will need to clarify the issue of floor level, and delivery issues with the shop. I only have 10 days when i come to the algarve in sept. so i need to have this matter sorted and organised with speed. This forum and nice persons like you have saved me considerable time and effort and hassle of wasting precious time. THANKS ALL YOU VERY NICE FORUM MEMBERS .Keep up the good work. In the mean time if any one can add or provide any other helpful hints, and info it will as always be much appreciated

Sofa Vip provide free delivery. They let you know which day they will deliver then phone when they're on the way. I've had two deliveries of bedroom furniture and both times there were 3 guys on the delivery vehicle so they may be able to cope with the 8th floor. They ask for a deposit when you order then the balance on delivery.
They provide an excellent service.

Would echo that. We bought sofas, dining furniture, and beds from Sofavip 3 years ago and have had no problems. The delivery guys erect anything that needs erecting, and take away all the packing. We have even cosidered buying sofas from them, and getting them delivered to the UK for our UK house.

Cheers BARRY.
Gives me more of confidence in checking out VIPSOFA. I am sure the quality would be excellent as you mention. I dont mind paying bit more as long as it is strong and sturdy sofabed with thick cusions, and mattress.
Do you or anyother nice persons know if VIPSofa have a website. I tried the google but no joy.
Thanks once again.
