I see from my calendar that April 25th is a public holiday.
It is Dia Da Liberdade. What does this mean and is there a carnival or festival. I hope so because we will be over then. :D

It's the anniversary of the 1974 revolution, there are usually loud flares let off around 8 am but can't think of any other celebrations.

 Hiya, When we had our first visit 2 CVO in 2005, in the evening of the 25th April, we saw some motorcycle riders on a day trip out 4 Liberation Day along beside the chinese retuarant about 7.30 pm. They had stopped 4 a rest 4 a while. There were about 6 of 'em. The best bit was the fact that the lead biker had his dog that was also dressed in biker gear complete with goggles that stood on the petrol tank. The dog was really the lead and definently the star of the show. Perhaps he and the bikers will be out this year. They had come from Alburfera( think thats' how 2 spell it)Perhaps someone knows about them or can find out if they will be out again this way this year.??11
