• round up saloon

I see from a posting that Will has sold the Round up Saloon. Can anyone tell me is it still open for business and is Will going to continue running it. It won't be the same without him and it is one of the main bars in the village for letting your hair down on a good night out. I will be in Carvoeiro for Easter and it would be dissappointing if he is not about.

Wil is retiring to Brasil in the very near future and yes the bar is still open and he is still there at the moment

So what is happening to Happy's, I understood that the guy who owns the round up also owned happy's building?

From what I've heard Happy's bought a lease so he is staying, albeit with a new landlord...

spoke to Big Will yesterday ahd he said "If i had sold the place then why am i still here" he will be there working as usual al this summer and holidaying as usual in Brazil in october.

Strange.... as the guy who runs the ice cream counter, was told by the new owners that he will not be able to stay. They are changing the ice cream section to snacks hot dogs, burgers etc..... Maybe the sale fell through??? I saw it advertised online for sale at 1,000,000.00 euros (more or less)...

Sorry, but I count that as a rumour too I'm afraid...

IMHO a place has been sold, when final contracts are signed and money has changed hands. As far as I know (but what do I know...

) neither happened yet.

I heard it had been sold ages ago to a Russian, but I was also told that Will ISN'T the owner aparently he just works there. The plot thickens!!!

Has definately sold...contracts exchanged the whole works. Handover of keys should be late April....when Will and his wife move to Brazil!!
