Its in front of Vila Nova, up towards the Santa Maria Statue, nr L'orange restaurant if that helps. It will consist of about 200 apartments, very up market and a Hilton 5 star Hotel. Nice if you like the glass modern look.
Very expensive. You could be anywhere in the world :?

I mentioned this development over 12 months ago, it is uphill from Boavista to the left from the statue. ( see More upmarket developments thread )
At that time we were told apartments would start at over 300,00e , they have gone up a bit since then.

It is a new concept for the CVO area, a gated development with resident exclusive bars etc.

The clientele will be the sort who buy in Villamoura, QDL as it is this market that it is targeted at.

Good news for the upmarket restaraunts , golf courses etc but will it be good news for the holiday market that CVO depens on.

If this is where I think it is, then I am indeed sad :(
I've walked there many a time, especially in the springtime, admiring the wild flowers..
but thats progress (or is it?)..and the' natural world' is paved, concreted over and replaced with private lawns, some artificial, swiming pools et al (when you live near Europes most beautiful coastline) and dare I say it, evermore golf courses and we inevitably lose wild places.

But I'm an outdoors person and these type of dwelling complexes give me the heeby jeebies..think Id rather live in a hut in a woods! or perhaps on the beach..
I even feel like this in huge shopping malls...give me the corner shop anyday!

yeah the development is upmarket..in fact you dont have to worry about too much of concrete.. it will be only 18% construction, the rest will be lush gardens, lakes and waterfalls... so it will look very nice i guess and brings more business in the areas and exclusivity..

It is too bad that Carvoeiro doesn't have building restrictions - so that any new building has to conform to the Moorish algavian style NOT glass and concrete. :(

moorish
