Can anyone recommend a hotel on the west side of Lisbon. We are going to the MotoGP at Estoril next Sunday and will be stopping over so that we can take in the sights of Lisbon.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Suggest trying a website such as tripadvisor.com which provides information on hotels all over the world. It includes comments from guests that have stayed in hotels worldwide and links so that you can book online.

About 20 years ago we stayed in Estoril which is to the west of Lisbon - may be worth trying there or Cascais (few miles further west).

Both are connected to Lisbon by a rail link.

Thanks, I've had a google at hotels on the web, but was just looking for recommendations.

Stayed at Hotel Vila Gale at Ericeira in early August when was excellant. It's about an hour by car to the west of Lisbon on the coast. Booked through hotels.com. Watch out for the tolls on the motorway - we got fined.

Took your advice, Croeso and booked via Tripadvisor. Booked Sofitel Lisbon, it had a good write up. Thanks for quick replies.
