Interesting article but it did remind of a some of the comments in Bruxy,s Blog about some expats.
Its a great place because you don,t even have to try to learn the language as everyone speaks english is hardly the atittude to endear ourselves to the local population.

Mind you , Pestana has been described in the past on this forum as being similar to the " Village " in the " Prisoner series ".
Clean, Strerile and totally lacking in character,
Does that go for some of the inhabitants as well ??

( Golfs not bad though )

".....to Vale da Pinta, an exclusive enclave of 10 homes with dramatic views over the ocean." - Doesn't sound like Pestana - unless the ocean has moved it would be hard to see from there! Pehaps this is a different Val da Pinta?

I think the development is the one at the edge of Presa da Moura just outside Sesmarias

VAl d a Pinta is the new " Pestana " development near the Pinta course, I think, There has been major building going on there for at least the last two years.

Living in an 'enclave' doesn't sound very pro Portuguese either.

I would have thought that TBBR except for the sea views and only 10 units being built - Pestana are building a LOT more than that!

Knowing the developers of Vale Da Pinta personally, I have been to see many of the villas both when being constructed and on completion and from the balconies inthe rooms you can see the ocean!

It is an amazing view! No doubt about that!
