Hi everyone,

Please can you tell me what is CVO like in november. I have heard that most things are closed and the weather is quite bad compared to peak times. If i were to come and visit would it be a bit of a waste of time or would things still be open and trips still available to book from the main street going to Rocha Brava.

It is a bit quieter, but golfers still in town. Don't know about trips, but I do know that the nightlife quietens down a lot. Last year, rained a LOT in November, but still had the odd, hot enough for shorts, type of day here and there.

We are going out again to Carvoeiro 18th November and we are not expecting anything like the temperatures that we experienced a couple of weeks ago.
Have been out for Christmas a few years ago and the weather was a little mixed - sunshine for a few days and one afternoon of heavy rain - so it's fingers crossed for some decent weather.
There are still bars and restaurants open - but obviously some shut for the winter months.

Come for Christmas. It doesn't matter what the weather's going to be like . . . . it won't be foggy, icy cold, freezing or snowing!

No but the bad news is that you'll be there !

Have been to Rocha Brava in November for past 6 years mostly for the whole of the month and will do so again this year. Weather 75% - 90% fantastic, mostly sunny and warm enough to sun bathe in the afternoon. Cold at night but still several degrees warmer than UK. Last year could only stay for the first 14 days and had 100% sunny weather.
Some restaurants shut but still plenty of choice - could find enough open not to repeat during the month, but have several establised favourites too numerous to mention.
Be brave - give it a go! - but please don't put a jinx on the weather!

We have also been in Rocha Brava in November for the last two years, and will be there for three weeks in November this year. We find the weather very pleasant, although we are not sunbathers! However, we find the weather is ideal for walking.

Lets just hope the weather is ok this year in November - roll on the 18th - staying at Rocha Brava for a week - celebrating my birthday.

Hope the weather stays good for you John, we went in December a couple of years ago and it was warm from about 10am to 4pm, very cool at night though, sure you'll enjoy it and have a great birthday

We have only been back just over 2 weeks and we are suffering withdrawal symptons - November cannot come quick enough. Do not know where we will be celebrating Julie's birthday yet maybe Stone Steak restaurant or one of the Chinese restaurants in the village but no doubt we will be visiting the Tropical bar a few times during our holiday.

We are back in November for four days, can't wait as we were last out in August, I need to recharge my batteries. Definitely will be going to Cassa do biffe and Maximes as well as Brasserie Marina Probably a few drinks at Colombo's or Flick Flack or anywhere else in between...
