When you are next in the Intermache look out for the very nice young man and young woman who are offering cute stress-busters in the shape of a raindrop for 5 euros each, why would you want one? the proceeds of the sale of these go towards the Bombeiros. I walked past him to begin with thinking that it was some sort of 'sell' ie timeshare etc, but was ashamed enough to realise when I had walked past waving my hand NO that it was for such a good cause.

Please try and help the firefighters of Portugal if you can, they are mainly volunteers who put their lives at risk for the benefit of all during the hot summer months when the risk of fire is so great.
