if you do, no i dont know them personally, just business associates, the only info i have is the web address with their email address listed on there,

well its hardly a ringing endorsement now is it...someone shuts up shop over xmas on the pretext of redecorating ..then moves to monchique leaving a bare office.

if its just a matter of moving or a retirement of one of the partners most firms would put a note in the local newspaper or in their shop window saying "we are moving" leave a contact address etc etc.....sorry its at best very sloppy business practice

Do you know how they are set up? They (Chique Projects) don't seem to be a Portuguese registered company, according to the RNPC register on the Internet and they are not registered with IMOPPI as a real estate agent. Actually, I was quite surprised to find that there is only ONE registered real estate company in the Monchique area:

Well I hope so, otherwise they shouldn't be operating. Sorry Luke but I spend a lot of my time getting people out of the brown, sticky stuff here, so I am more than a little cautious about these things. Bear in mind that I also know a lot about the history and background of businesses in Silves.

i would never doubt your expertise my dear....
but if they were i and i had a successful business, i wouldnt risk anything just because of the red tape, im sure you will see them in the listings, and as there have been elections in the algarve, things will probably take a little bit longer, i know these things , for when i was getting my visa for Mexico.
