 Morning Cowboy
Moral to that story is People on horses rock!!
Will have to buy two cvo stickers when I am out there in a couple of weeks. It will confuse the locals round here tho' they can only just understand 'Please Pass Wide and Slow' or ' Caution Horse and Rider' in large letters on the back/front of t shirts.
Hope Texas is good to you

Am also enjoying this post. And want to pick your brains Lesley Jean. I also have a horse and look after mine and my Hub's. I've often wondered about riding in Portugal. What are the horses like at Gill's and what weight would they be up to? My Hub is just under 12st so would they have anything to take his weight?

We have cobs at home. Mine is now around 20 and I've had her since she was 4 - she still thinks she is most times. And whoever said get a cob for a quiet ride hasn't met my girl!

We're out at the end of May so hope the weather keeps up. It's really pelting it down here.

 Hi Mac (sorry no pun intended)
Gills was very nice but she only has three 'horses' about 15hh stocky arab/andalucian types, they were fun but my daughter and I are both about 9/9.5 stone. The others were mainly ponies as she teaches children from the area. There is a stable near Silves which I was going to try next time I come out, another area I would love to do on horseback. Have always loved Silves and Monchique. I can't find the name or address but I know it is on the old Silves road from Lagoa.
Weather in Somerset has been really bad, sun wind gales rain you name it we keep getting it.
Hope to speak again soon

David Beckham decides to go horse riding.

Although he has had no previous experience he skilfully mounts the horse and appears incomplete command of the situation as the horse gallops along at a steady pace.

Victoria admiringly watching her husband.

After a short time David becomes a little casual and he begins to lose his grip in the saddle.

He panics and grabs the horse round the neck shouting for it to stop!

Victoria starts to scream and shout for someone to help her husband as David has by this time slipped completely out of the saddle and is only saved from hitting the ground by the fact that he still has a grip on the horse's neck.

David decides that his best chance is to leap away from the horse, but his foot has become entangled in one of the stirrups.

As the horse gallops along David's head is banging on the ground and he is slipping into unconsciousness.

Victoria is now frantic and screams and screams for help!!

Hearing her screams, the Security Guard comes out of the store and unplugs the horse!

All the Best,
Cowboy

 Cowboy, I don't know if it is the Taxas range, or the whisky, or just you, but I love your sense of humour, you make me smile every morning I come onto the forum, thanks for that, when it is raining and horrible you make a sunny spot in any day. Cheers

agree with you Lesley %...good one Coop
They do say to keep working keeps you fitter..longer..mine does to a certain extent..but the brain needs exercise as well..puzzles /crosswords..working out figures etc!
Expect the old backgammon keeps Michaels brain on the ball....and with Coop ..its his physical work..dancing...jokes ...
Footnote !
I was sitting here working last night..young grandson watching..
He says" Nan? what you doing?"
Me "Typing..writing story"
G.son " Id like a laptop..how much are they ?"
Me "oh..about £1000 or more"
He sits thinking very deeply..then
"Nan? When you die..can I have your laptop?"
Sweet boy..love him to bits...... :)

About the same cost...either way.....
