Hi Soulman,

Firstly well done with this - we have had a little listen and it all sounds great :D We were wondering whether you have a playlist for New Year's Eve and if you will be playing the Big Ben bells at midnight followed by Auld Lang Sang?

Hi Ma-ja,

Thanks for listening.

Unfortunately the playlist is pre set on a server for continuous streaming so is not operating in 'real time', also any alterations need to be re-scheduled 7 days in advance for changes to take place. Hopefully Auntie Beeb will do us proud though via Sky.

Just for info, I have set up another station for the younger age group CVO-DANCE playing the top UK dance chart and other similar music from 2010.
http://www.radionomy.com/en/radio/cvo-dance

I am also in the process of building CVO-OLDIES (music from the 60's 70's & 80's), and CVO-DISCO, playing all the music from the 70's disco scene.

Watch this space.

Just for advice, the best way to listen to these stations is to download WINAMP, and then bookmark the stations URL into the playlist window. Better sound quality that can be played through an amp/speakers, and with very little loss in streaming download speed.

Yep, it is much better on Winamp. Please keep us posted as to when the new Disco station is launched.

Hi Bruce,

Which version of Windows (XP, Vista or 7) are you using and which browser (IntEx, Mozilla, Safari, Google chrome)? I know that WMP11 can't link from Mozilla when using Windows 7.

As I mentioned before the best music file and CD player is Winamp Standard, which I have used for many years, and is a free download at
http://www.winamp.com/media-player/en
You can set this as default music player and it links perfectly every time.

Let me know and if you still have problems, I'll try to work it through with you.

Soulman.

This is excellent. I am really enjoying it. Perhaps in the future some more R 'n' B? (The proper sort, not what passes for it today!) Etta James, Jackie Wilson etc. Anyway, it is great as it is, very refreshing. :D

How old LJ, I can't get 78's and cylinders to load on the server.

The 3 stations that play music from the 60's 70's and 80's are split by genre.

CVO SOUL - Tamla, soul etc.

CVO- DISCO - Glitter, Glam, Flares and big hair from the 70's.

CVO - JUKEBOX - Hits from 60's to 80's all top artists from Abba to ZZ Top. Most top 10 artists from the 3 decades.
