New Years Eve
Re: New Years Eve
They are part of the Portimao display, a couple of years ago we saw them being installed in the beach area, the view would have been fantastic from the potimao riverfront .

Feeling very sad today as we should have arrived in Carvoeiro this morning for Christmas
and New Year but I have had to have a knee replacement operation recently and I am still
not fit enough to travel, oh well roll on February when I hope I will be fit enough.

Re: New Years Eve
We had coffee at the cafe Grane yesterday morning, cool but sunny ( has rained very heavily since mid afternoon, no sign of a change in the weather ) and the waiter who served us said that there is nothing going on in the square this NYE, the stage that is there looks like it is being dismantled.
Still a wet Algarve is better than being stuck in a UK airport ( V few EJ flights again today from Bristol, all yesterdays cancelled )

We usually go to Mungos Bar, always a good night in there
Re: New Years Eve
Last year, my husband and i we went to a little bar down the bottom of the out road, it was the best night out we have ever had in carvoeiro. free buffet, brilliant live music and a great atmosphere. We will be going there again this year. Can't remember the name.

I don't run a bar but if I did, I would create a new username and then post saying how great it is.

Why on do you think i would even bother to advertise my bar on this site? when most of the people on it just want to know each others business and dont even live here.. x
Re: New Years Eve
Dinner then Hemmi's & probably a very messy ending at Safari, depending on how well we pace ourselves.

Re: New Years Eve
Anteak - that's a very 'sad' outlook on life you portray.
We don't live in Carvoeiro permanently but in the last 15 years we spend increasing times - between 4 - 6 months of the year there and have never been in your bar. We will be moving to Carvoeiro during this coming year and I can't think of one good reason to change my habit - given your unprovoked 'attack' on those of us who support this blog. You must be confusing this blog with another as I for one have never experienced anybody prying into my business and neither have I had occasion to pry into any other person's business.
Happy New Year - misery
