This is is a difficult beach to reach, the last 10 metres are down a rope"

Might be a bit uncomfortable in the "buff" :?

I would imagine coming back up again would be a strain . . . . especially if you're at the bottom holding the rope

Tavira Island is the official nudist beach and Armona island is regularly used. Ferry trip from Tavira and Olhao respectively. though Tavira can also be reached by a miniature railway (which used to serve the tuna canners) from near Pedras del Rei

and a bit chilly round the pink bits this time of year ?

But these naturists are a tough bunch and I dare say they just grin and bare it :P

Do naturists have pink bits? Seems like that would defeat the object.

The Meia Praia beach at Lagos has an area used by naturists, you might find this helpful. www.naturist-holiday-portugal.com/content2/meia.htm

No need for shinning up & down ropes & risking rope burns in vulnerable areas.
Most of the bits we saw were suffering from over exposure to the sun & were more lobster red than anything else, that's gotta smart.

Judging by the size of some of the bits the water must have been very, very cold, you'd need something like the hubble space telescope to spot them. :D

One naturist was prosecuted for being on an non-nudist beach but the case against him was dropped through lack of evidence. :D
