Light my fire

Post by Pavlov's dogs »

Anyone know what is the right price to pay for good firewood. There are the two places on the road into town before the petrol station, one on left and ome on right. Are they charging a reasonable price, or is there a lower price source close to CV?

The two places you mention are expensive.

If you want to send me a PM, I will give you the details of our source in Guia who will deliver to the house and stack it for you.

Better still......If you feel spritely and fit with a saw.......or have a chain saw.....you or anybody can drive to some woods I have and cut all you require .FOC This is from trees that suffered during the forest fires last years and is piled up about 5 miles north of Penina....if anybody wants to do so ...email me on yakxx@mail.telepac.pt and I'll give you directions...bit of a dirty old job but if one takes a decent size van etc..it might be worth the days work.....

Good Morning ROY.....

Pav.Dogs..was told recently that price around 5/6 euros for 10kgs.
When we've had long stays during winter period found it expensive..so ended up going and (as Guest suggested) finding our own..lined the boot with plastic and filled up with bits of wood/logs..
but Roy's idea sounds a good one! :)

Take great care if you go to guest (yakxx) for your wood.

He has a savage chipmunk that bites if you are not careful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have finally arrived in cvo and after nearly two months we now have a phone connection!
We too would love some coal if anyone knows if and where you can get it.

Thank you!
