The Sunday Boot Sale in Fatacil

Has anyone ever sold anything here? If so, what is the procedure? I have a ton of smaller things to sell and was wondering if it would be worthwhile.

Hi - we haven't actually sold at this one, but a friend of ours goes regularly and does quite well - it all depends on the day and whether the people there actually want to buy what you have on offer. The procedure is to just turn up on the day and queue along with everyone else. You will need to get there early if you want a good pitch - around 6.30 - 7am!! Once you have your pitch you just set up and sell. I don't think this one charges for a pitch, but don't quote me on that

What makes a good pitch? I have never done this.

guess what..two times ago someone from Lagoa cm came around with bits of paper saying you would have to apply for a spot and Lagoa cm would be charging soon (price?) ,also they wanted your id number , fiscal number address etc etc so like other car boot sales you would have to declare to the finances what you had sold and pay tax (although when you had bought it originally you paid tax!! but now you must pay more tax!))

so last Sunday I am told as a result there were a third less sellers than in previous times.

knowing how camaras lurve to support business my guess it that one time soon there will be no car boot sales at fatacil at all

worth a laugh is this weeks resident is how they want to encourage business

only one "free" at moment is saturday morning at algoz ...if you want to get rid of stuff you had better hurry before the bureaucrats stifle that one too out of existence
