Hmm,I heard yesterday that someone had fallen into the sea at Algar Seco (always thought the place to be VERY dangerous myself). Today the grapevine is saying that a body was sighted yesterday near Algar Seco and was washed on Centianes beach early this morning. The policia maritimo were spotted going into Carvoeiro around 8.30 this morning. Now, some say the body (badly decomposed) is a teacher who went missing on the 23rd of December (no foul play suspected), others say it was someone who was washed out to sea at Lagos and another said someone fell into the sea at Praia da Marinha. No doubt the Correio de Manha will have something to say over the next couple of days

The babel Fish translation -
"COAL DEALER - BODY IN DECOMPOSITION a body was yesterday seen to float in the sea, the one hundred meters of Algarseco, in Coal dealer, having been impossible its resgaste, due to undulation and to the state of decomposition where if it found, that it inclusively did not allow the elements of a helicopter to hoist it for edge."
I am so aware that this is not funny and obviously my sincerest sympathies are extented to the family of the deceased.
Sill a bizarre translation never-the-less and what the hell is "resgaste"???

In todays Correio de manha there is an article about a boot with a badly decomposed foot in it found by a rubbish bin in Armação de Pêra. They think it belongs to the body washed up on Centianes beach Wednesday morning. I think foul play is suspected and they left the bit about the foot missing out of the original report, unless the tide was VERY high yesterday in Armação de Pêra
