Re: Mast in Vale do Covo
That was probably the one that was blocked in Areias dos Moinhos last(?) year.

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
The AC units work well for most of the year, but there will come a time when the yield is significantly reduced as the outside temperatures dip below 5ºC and the compressor cuts out. At that point you will need some form of back up and we have retrofitted a house with the thermostat regulated electr...

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
For what it's worth, I would strongly recommend finding alternatives to gas as the overall cost for the gas plus all the certification has become prohibitive these last few years.

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
Incidentally, does the price include a full maintenance of the radiators, ie, valve lubricant, heating fluids, etc?

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
The question is really, if it is an easy retrofit. Older boilers have completely different connections and the replacement may imply fitting a whole array of new bits.

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
If all the parts are there then it should not cost more than an hour or two of labour plus call out charge. Guestimate: €60-€80

Re: How much should it cost to install a boiler?
Does it fit into an existing set up or is some rewiring/pipe amending needed?

Re: Return of monies due to volconic ash cancellations
Unfortunately, Gambrinus, some Insurance companies have now declared the volcanic ash problem as a "predictable" event and thus not insurable  Ha! That is rich! Aside from your holiday home in Iceland being covered in ash, I don't see how this is any more predictable than other weather phe...

Re: Return of monies due to volconic ash cancellations
Refunding monies when the volcano first erupted was arguably the right thing to do because it was unpredictable and on an unprecedented scale. On the other hand, you can also argue that taking out a travel insurance and making sure delay and cancellation situations are covered is the sole responsibi...

Re: Proposed taxation changes
No, this is just Socrates breaking his election promises all by himself. Brussels is looking in to the possibilities of centralizing fiscal laws for EU members in an effort to exercise budget control in the member states and avoid the rampant overspend that have left the PIGS in the state they are i...

Additional taxation between 1% and 1,5% percent w...
