Re: A22 toll options - your opinion?
This is the model used by AVIS and other International companies. You pay both the transponder rental and the tolls. I am surprised that YOR want to copy the Avis business model. Next thing, YOR will be offering brand new cars, triple the price and very high charges for all extras. Hence the poll; ...

Re: A22 toll options - your opinion?
I voted for option 3 as this leaves the whole matter in my hands to act as I feel best however I wonder how the 3 euros for passing on details will be collected ? Will the hirer have to leave a credit card swipe and for how long is that valid? I wonder if Steen can tell us how many requests he has ...

Re: A22 toll options - your opinion?
I am not altogether clear on this. Get billed for motorway use by Via Verde and €1.75 per day by hire company or get billed for €1.75 per day by Via Verde to include all tolls? Pay 1,75 euro rental per day for the electronic device and get billed directly from Via Verde. This is the model used by A...

Re: Car Break in
Its all just another way of subsidizing the stiff competition thats there in the car rental market. Yes it is. One answer might be to accept a car with an excess, save on that and get better insurance using e.g. http://www.insurance4carhire.com/index.asp?subRefID=0&curID=1&langID=1&refID=1808 - the...

Re: Car Break in
When locks are replaced it is done at cost price for the client and the car rental company lose time, labour and revenue during the repair time. Unfortunately locks are often hugely expensive due to the electronic chips in car keys. The best way to avoid a break-in is to leave the car boot uncovered...

Re: Taxi from Faro to Carvoeiro
Using www.farotransfer.com or www.algarvedriver.com transfers to Carvoeiro cost;
57 euro one way or 114 euro for both ways for up to 4 pax, there is a 20% out of our charge between 22h and 7h - motorway tolls are included.

Re: Car Hire Lisbon Airport
I've never had reason to compare, so I don't know. Logically it could be cheaper as the trade is Lisbon supposedly is regular all year round where as the Algarve only is busy for a few months.jimmyp wrote:Steen is it really true that it is 25% cheaper hiring from Lisbon Airport than Faro in high season?!
