WALK TUESDAY 24th MARCH: ODIAXERE
WALK TUESDAY 24th MARCH: ODIAXERE
This is the second of my Tuesday walks at Odiaxere on Tuesday 24th March. It is a flat walk of around 2.25 hrs and offers some lovely views of the estuary looking over to Alvor.
Degree of Difficulty ( scale 1:5) : It is a 1, easy, and there are bird watching opportunities at the river.
Directions: Drive to Lagoa and turn left on the N125 until you get to Odiaxere, a village on the N125 between Portimao and Lagos, about 15 miles to the west of Carvoeiro. Meet in the square next to the church in the centre of Odiaxere. Coming from Portimao it is on LHS, look for the orange golfe sign. There is plenty parking and cafes close by.
We will find somewhere local for lunch after the walk so please indicate if you wish to stay for lunch.
10.00am start
Usual caveats: all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain.....I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0830 on the day of the walk.
Walking boots/stout trainers , walking pole(s), hats and water recommended but not really necessary. No charge, of course.
To give us an idea of who is attending please post your intention on the forum.

I’d need a ride. Please let me know if anyone is going from Alvor that I could ride with, or one who could pick me up at the Lagos bus terminal.
