Found this little bugger in the lounge, only because one of our dogs was playing with it.

Re: Scorpions
We had one in the house when we first moved in but I have not seen any since, must be the hot weather bringing them out.
Re: Scorpions
We had one in the house last week, one of our Portuguese visitors said it was the sort you would expect to find in the Alentejo so yes, the hotter dryer weather this year has bought them south.

Are they poisonous to humans?

Re: Scorpions
Once left my trainers on patio and when went to lift them about an hour later a small lizard scrambled out....not sure who got biggest fright, Eddy Lizard or me!!! My wife was surprised it survived inside my trainer!!!pato wrote:I'd hate to find one in the bed.
Since then always shake my shoes that have been outside before putting them on........and definitely after reading about the scorpions!
Re: Scorpions
My brother in law found one in the pool (!) last week! A neighbour said it was because the ground is very sandy.
