Restaurant recommendation.

Post by montyperera »

Hi, my wife and I have been given a night off from the kids next Tuesday and would like to eat somewhere a bit different to your average family restaurants in town. I just tried to book Rei das Praias but was rather rudely told they had 1 table left, in the middle, inside. Have been to Bon Bon, Hexagone before. Any other suggestions? Doesn't have to be in Carvoeiro. Don't mind getting a taxi 15 minutes away. Cheers, Monty.

Agree with Maximes or O Flamingo , which is just up the hill from Maximes. We thought that the menu is a bit different to the usual restaurants and there is also outdoor eating space. We once went to Rei das Praias for a special honeymoon meal and vowed never to return. The staff were rude , uncaring and if you were not a regular you were completely ignored.

I agree with 2 of the other posters with Bella Vita it is a class place to eat, Ele & ela in the village is also a 1st class place to eat.

Get out of town:

O Leao Porches
O Baradas on the way to Silves
O Alambique in Poco Baretto

You'll find all these restaurants in the Restaurant Map

Classy place with really good food and great view on terrace - Pescador in Bengail
Good Italian with patio garden - Villa Medici in town
Taste Portuguese wines and try tasty tapas - Terroir Wine Bar opposite above
To eat closest to the sea and great sunset position - O Stop at Centiennes beach
Enjoy!
