Saw it at Colina sol today and later at Algar Seco, look like a great service. If it can survive until the summer it will do well. But, bar the driver, there was nobody on either bus.

This sounds marvellous. Having been coming to the Carvoeiro area for over 20 years and for the last 15 having our own place on Rocha Brava we have always hired a car. However just before we came out in September my eye surgeon decided to withdraw my driving licence. Whilst we managed well enough with taxis and Rocha Brava's mini bus it was not quite the same as having our own transport and we seriously wondered if after all these years we should consider selling up. Now having heard about this new bus service it has made us re-consider given that it goes to most of the places we like to go. I cannot see it being well supported over the winter but I am sure that in the Spring, Summer and Autumn months it should do very well. I noticed earlier that their website is still down.

Back from a trip to Carvoeiro and found this service to be really good. It allows for some good day trips and having a lunch here and there in places we usually wouldn't go. Our favorite day using it was getting it as far as Ferragudo, getting the water taxi to Portimao, had lunch there then walked back to Ferragudo, had dinner there and then the bus back to Carvoeiro. Had nice lunch and drinks in Lagoa the next day with same ticket. Really easy way to get around without a car.
Hope it continues and expands, great service.

Don't agree....just hired for 17 days in June for 185€ that's < 10€ per day.....and a car takes you further : yes, you need to add fuel costs, but for a couple or more, car wins!

The bus runs till 11pm, but beware wherever the bus is at 11pm thats when it stops. We had 2 young girls using it to get back from ferraguda to rocha brava, and when it got to carvoeiro at 11pm they told them to get off this bus as it was 11pm. Not a nice experience for them. They had to pay to get a taxi back. Once you are on the bus before 11pm they should take you back to where you want to go. We call it the hop on f-off bus now!
