Its a pity that the inspectors for Michelin dont visit Lagoa, because if anybody deserves to put a Michelin star over their doorway, it's Pedro and Saul.
That should get you another free meal eh! Bruce.

Food is indeed good , but I never think they are that generous with the wine , which could be of better quality.

In fact, whilst we enjoyed an excellent meal there the other day, we noticed that the other 3 tables all had bottled wine, rather than the carafes included in the price.....quantity was Ok, but am sure the quality could be improved!

Went for first time on a Saturday night. They are digging up the road outside but soon it will be pedestrianalised and will have tables outside which will be good in summer. Very pleasant room and friendly service. Good to have set meal prices and lots of specials on offer, Trilogy of fish excellent. Quite old fashioned cooking but very tasty. Carafe wine just about ok and bottle option was a good red.

as a matter of interest, how much extra do they charge for that ?.... presumably instead of the house carafe.

That's interesting.....we weren't offered any choice, and the carafe was limited anyway!
